Director of Marketing (Health Supplements / Ecommerce) OPEN POSITION
We are currently recruiting for a Director of Marketing at SaltWrap (the leading online retailer of therapeutic sports nutrition), reporting to the CEO.
We are looking for a results-oriented marketing leader capable of profitably scaling customer acquisition, maximizing customer lifetime value, and continuously optimizing the entire marketing funnel — from first impression through long-term customer loyalty.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience successfully scaling a marketing budget (greater than $200K per month) in the CPG space (health-wellness specific experience strongly encouraged) across multiple channel categories while hitting company-wide ROAS goals. The ideal candidate has and a "roll up the sleeves" and make it happen attitude plus the desire and capability to build a marketing department beneath them.

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for implementing and aligning the marketing plan with the company vision. This position is the strategic owner and project manager for the full marketing stack (acquisition, conversion, retention, plus budget planning and deployment).
As the Director of Marketing at SaltWrap, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. MARKETING BUDGET & ANALYTICS
- Develop and implement the company marketing budget plan to drive profitable revenue growth while achieving key performance targets including MER, CAC, LTV, Customer Retention Rate, ncROAS, and Cohort Breakeven.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance across all channels using tools such as Triple Whale, Lifetimely, GA4, and Shopify platform analytics.
- Deliver ongoing reporting, forecasting, and strategic recommendations to improve marketing efficiency, customer acquisition, and long-term profitability.
2. CUSTOMER ACQUISITION
- Lead and grow all customer acquisition channels including Google Ads, Google Shopping/PMax, Bing Ads, Meta Advertising, Amazon Advertising, Affiliate Marketing, Ambassador Marketing, and emerging acquisition opportunities.
- Effectively manage agency partners and internal resources to drive profitable growth in new customer acquisition.
- Continually identify, test, and scale new customer acquisition opportunities while maintaining profitability targets and budget guardrails.
3. CONVERSION (CRO) & MARKETING FUNNEL OPTIMIZATION
- Own the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and Marketing Funnel Optimization (MFO) process across all customer acquisition funnels.
- Develop and manage a systemized testing process for landing pages, offers, checkout flows, upsells, subscription offers, and post-purchase customer journeys.
- Prioritize testing opportunities based on traffic, spend, and potential business impact while continually improving the LTV-to-CAC ratio across all funnels.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Content & CRM, Director of Ecommerce, and agency partners to implement and evaluate tests.
4. RETENTION & LIFECYCLE MARKETING
- Lead retention, loyalty, and lifecycle marketing efforts designed to increase customer satisfaction, repeat purchases, and long-term customer value.
- Direct retention initiatives (cross-functionally with Director of Content & CRM) across email, SMS, loyalty programs, subscription marketing, direct mail, and other customer communication channels.
- Improve subscription conversion rates, reduce subscriber churn, and increase customer lifetime value through systematic testing and optimization.
- Work closely with the Director of Content & CRM to develop and execute customer journey, retention, and ascension campaigns.
5. AFFILIATE, INFLUENCER & AMBASSADOR MARKETING
- Build and manage an Affiliate, Influencer, and Ambassador Program that drives customer acquisitio and strengthens our brand niche.
- Leverage influencers, practitioners, athletes, and content creators to generate authentic marketing assets, user-generated content, and brand awareness.
- Develop systems for recruiting, onboarding, managing, and scaling marketing partners across all channels.
6. MARKETING CREATIVE MANAGEMENT
- Lead the creative feedback loop between marketing performance data and content production.
- Collaborate with the Director of Content & CRM, Creative Manager, agency partners, and freelancers to develop sales copy, advertisements, videos, images, landing pages, and other marketing assets.
- Translate campaign performance and customer insights into actionable creative direction and testing priorities.
- Ensure all marketing creative aligns with brand standards, customer needs, and business objectives.

- Passion for health and fitness.
- 5+ years of experience managing marketing budgets and driving profitable growth for a DTC consumer product brand (health/supplements, wellness category strongly encouraged)
- Proven experience scaling customer acquisition spend across multiple channels while maintaining profitability targets and improving customer lifetime value.
- Demonstrated success managing the full marketing funnel, including customer acquisition, conversion optimization, retention/email, loyalty, and subscription marketing.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, Meta Advertising, Google Ads, Google Shopping/PMax, YouTube Ads, Amazon Advertising, Affiliate Marketing, and Influencer Marketing.
- Strong experience utilizing analytics and attribution platforms such as Triple Whale, Lifetimely, Google Analytics (GA4), and other ecommerce reporting tools.
- Deep understanding of key ecommerce metrics including CAC, LTV, Contribution Margin, MER, ROAS, ncROAS, customer retention rate, cohort breakeven timelines, and subscription performance.
- Experience developing and managing conversion rate optimization (CRO) programs, including landing page testing, offer testing, checkout optimization, upsell strategies, and marketing funnel optimization.
- Experience using A/B testing and experimentation platforms to prioritize, launch, measure, and scale winning tests.
- Strong understanding of marketing attribution, customer journey analytics, and cohort analysis to guide budget allocation and growth strategy.
- Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and internal team members while maintaining accountability to performance targets.
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- A track record of building systems, processes, and teams capable of supporting long-term growth.
- The ability to work remotely on ET hours.

- Organized, systematic thinker capable of managing large amounts of marketing data, identifying constraints and opportunities, and building scalable processes to manage marketing budgets and growth initiatives at scale.
- Builder mindset. Excited to develop the systems, processes, and team required to scale SaltWrap's marketing department over time while maintaining a high standard of accountability and execution.

Position location and hours:
- This is a fully remote position with occasional required travel for team offsites (estimated at 2-4 times per year, not including education-related or event travel).
- Candidates must have adequate and stable home office or co-work space with high-speed internet connection.
Candidate must be willing to commit to Eastern Standard Time working hours, 8:30am to 5:30pm ET (Monday through Friday).
