The USA Patriots, formerly known as the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to bring athletic and veteran amputees together to promote the benefits of inclusive sport and therapeutic recreational activities.


SaltWrap proudly supports the USA Patriots as a sponsor for the softball team and Kids Camps.


USA Patriots Softball Team


The USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team travels the country taking on able-bodied teams in competitive and exhibition games — bringing their unique mix of athleticism, heart, and inspiration to communities nationwide.


The team is made up of talented veterans who have lost limbs due to combat and non-combat injuries. Some are still actively serving, others are pursuing their education through the Post-9/11 GI Bill, and many have launched new careers.


Through their incredible efforts on and off the field, they continue to push the limits of modern prosthetics, build camaraderie, and inspire others — proudly Serving Beyond the Uniform.



USA Patriots Kids Camps


Kids Camps was created in 2014 as the USA Patriots organization grew and the athletes looked for more ways to give back. While traveling, many of them met kids who, for the first time, were meeting an adult who looked like them.


What started small has become their largest program — now fueled by the Kids Camp Annual Fund, with a goal of raising $180,000 each year.


Thanks to this support, the organization was able to bring 20 kids (ages 8–12) with amputations or limb loss to a week-long, all-expenses-paid camp.


Veteran athletes serve as coaches and mentors, teaching adaptive skills, sharing life lessons, and building confidence.
